Idea - Feedback?

So, you know how RPs can often get cluttered up with all sorts of out of game posts. Sometimes spanning 6 or 7 posts. So I was thinking, this board could be here for people to discuss anything they need to. This way, the RP can be pure, and all the () posts can be here.

Wadda ya think?

This is a good idea but when it is implemented I think we should have a separate Out of Game Posts thread for each section of the story arc. Unless someone has a better idea.

I, for one, don't have the patience to be reading two different threads. Just keep it to MSN in my opinion.

But then of course, we run into the trouble with time zones, people not being on etc.

The best I can come up with off hand is something like a Steam Group chat, where members can log in/out at will, and we don't have to wait for time consuming forum posts.

How is that any different from MSN? You'd still encounter the same problems, timezones and what not.

Ah, but the difference here is that it's always running, always close to hand and ready for people to start talking. It would be handier then re-making a chat every time in MSN. Even so, we still encounter the time-zone problem, but most important announcements will be made on the boards themselves if I'm not mistaken?

Sounds like a complicated solution for a small problem to me. It's easier to just check the thread than it is to hope that timezones match. That's the whole point of forums, timezones don't matter because the messages are left there for when people have the time to log on.

Sure, but like I said, wouldn't it be so much easier to have a communal chat where we can relay information quickly and easily without having to wait for forums?

We're going in circles here, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

Users can always move a discussion to MSN if necessary. I see no problem with having the Out of Game Post threads as a preliminary resource.

Any chances there will be a "Rules" fourm and also I think you should add some new fourms to the site. I can see alot more improving on this site, its just the fact when the improvment will start.

The rules are open to interpretation until I get a more concrete list written down, but... basically, no spamming, no racism, no porn links, blahdeblahdeblah. If it's not tolerated on DQ, chances are good that I won't tolerate it here.

Could you maybe rephrase that?

Meaning this site lacks forums or in short there are only 3 forums on this site. I recommend you start adding stuff to this site such as more forums, adding color to the name of mods and admins like on the DQ site, adding some skin selection will be nice too, ect.

You don't know how confusing the admin panel is. At the moment I'm trying to work out how to change group colours, so if you see some random names go bright green, that's why.

Just added some snazzy colors for Mods + Admins. Will get custom icons soon too. w00t

That was the first thing I worked out, simply because it's the clearest.

Yay! Finally there is some color to tell the diff of mod and admin. Just to let you guys know the color does not show up on the topic review and you might want to fix that. I still want a skin selector, this skin right now is giving me a little head ache. Thanks. Keep up the good work, the site is improving a little!!!!!!!!!!
